NCASC Update
The National Capital All-Star Classic (NCASC) was established in 2007 as a Middle School showcase of student-athletes in the Ottawa-Carleton Region. Its aim is to raise the profile of the participants and encourage them to pursue and/or continue in the sport. This annual event has proven very successful and well supported by the local community and has seen a number of our alumni go on to high level University and Professional careers in basketball. Unfortunately, due to COVID related issues, the event has not run since 2019.
With basketball returning to near normal operations, there has been an outcry to resume NCASC. The pause over the last few years has afforded us the opportunity to explore a more inclusive event. Today we are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association (EOBA) and Prezdential Basketball. With this partnership, we will be expanding our catchment area to include players and families from all across Eastern Ontario - Cornwall to Pembroke to Perth to Kingston and all places in these areas. As well, in addition to the previous U14 boys and girls events, we will be adding U16 and U18 girls as a pilot this year with the hope of making this and a corresponding boys event a permanent fixture in the future.
Mission
Mission
At the National Capital All-Star Classic (NCASC), our mission is to provide support, exposure, and motivation for athletes in Eastern Ontario that will inspire them to pursue their dreams and goals. We encourage athletes to pursue sports and healthy lifestyles. We wish to contribute to the grassroots growth of basketball and provide support for community organizations that provide programs that promote our mission.
